3Dlabs Oxygen RPM

The 3Dlabs Oxygen RPM delivers an expansive 64MB of unified graphics memory, high-resolution true-color displays and precision Z-buffering at an accessible price. If you have a multiple CPU workstation, 3Dlab's exclusive PowerThreads multi-threaded OpenGL drivers automatically exploit all CPUs to boost geometry performance. Plus, the ability to drive dual-screen displays or support quad-buffered stereo means you don't sacrifice flexibility for a price.

A single Oxygen RPM card can drive two high-resolution 3D accelerated monitors for a unified, dual-screen desktop from a single AGP slot. The dual parallel 3Dlabs RPM rasterizer chipset delivers fast shaded and texture-mapped graphics and high-quality, true-color rendering with 24 bit Z-Buffer.

Complete professional buffer and OpenGL function support includes Gourad shading, tri-linear mip-mapped texture mapping with perspective correction, overlays, fogging, 8-bit stencil planes, hardware window clipping, translucency with destination alpha and anti-aliasing.

The 64 MB of on-board SDRAM memory means availability of high-resolution, double-buffered, true-color displays up to 1600 x 1200 (single monitor) or 2048 x 768 (unified desktop, dual monitor), with plenty of texture memory to spare.

The Oxygen RPM support leading software such as: Pro/ENGINEER, Catia, SolidWorks, Unigraphics, I-DEAS Master Series, MicroStation, SolidDesigner, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop, Ansys, Softimage|3D, Maya, LightWave 3D, 3D Studio MAX & VIZ, Lightscape, Houdini, GameGen, WorldToolKit, IGrip, Quest, and Open Inventor. Its MSRP is $1499, but it can be found for a street price of around $850.
