S3 Graphics and VIA Launch First Integrated Graphics
Core Logic Chipset with Full AMD Support
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--As part of their joint venture, S3
Graphics, a division of S3 Incorporated and VIA Technologies, Inc.
today announced the availability of the ProSavage KM133, the first
integrated graphics core logic chipset with full support for the
Socket A AMD Duron and Athlon processors. Combining VIA's Apollo
KT133 chipset with the S3 Savage4 3D and Savage2000 2D graphics
engines, the ProSavage KM133 is designed for high-volume AMD-based

Sony's VAIO PictureBook First to Market With Transmeta's
Crusoe CPU

Nokia Launches Home Product Based On Open Source
Platforms
NEW YORK--Nokia Home Communications today launched the Media
Terminal, a new product for the home that combines Internet media
technologies and digital broadcasting technologies. The
software platform is based on open standards and technologies: Linux
operating system, Xfree86-windowing system, the Mozilla web browser
and compliant protocols and standards. The hardware is based on
embedded Intel X86 computer architecture combined with a Nokia DVB
receiver module, hard disc and additional network interfaces based

NewTek to Develop Native Itanium Versions of LightWave
and Video Toaster

Right Hemisphere Announces Development Plans for
Itanium
AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands--Right Hemisphere announces their
intention to support the upcoming Itanium processor from Intel with
a new version of its award winning software Deep Paint 3D with Texture
Weapons. This new Itanium processor compatible software is a ground-up
rewrite of the existing code to fully take advantage of the latest
Intel 64-bit architecture, as well as newly enhanced capability
in the Wacom Intuos tablets. The software will include many new
features for 2D and 3D painting and texture mapping not previously

NEC Computers Inc. Extends Strategic Alliance With
EMC Corporation

strategic alliance with EMC Corporation. NEC Computers will now
offer EMC's CLARiiON FC5300 fibre channel RAID storage system as
an option with its Express5800 servers to North American Windows

systems have been available on NEC Express5800 servers since late
