Future Power Announces an Enhanced Support Plan for
Monitors
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--Future Power today announced an enhanced
support plan for its monitor line. The plan, called "BEST Monitor
Support" offers advanced replacement for defective units directly
to the consumer within the continental United States and Canada.
Future Power monitors carry a five year limited warranty and now
the first thirty-six months can be serviced through an advance replacement

Philips Unveils Trio Of Sound Cards
ATLANTA--Philips Consumer Electronics is introducing three
new sound cards. The new lineup includes: Rhythmic Edge (3D stereo),
Seismic Edge (quad surround) and Acoustic Edge, the industry's first
PCI audio accelerator enabling 5.1-channel playback of games, music
and movies. According to Philips, current industry technology limits
5.1-channel output to DVD content, the Acoustic Edge breaks this
barrier by converting all types of media into 5.1 channel output
and enhancing DVD movies, allowing a realistic home theater experience
from the PC. more

Radialogic Updates Mac Support For Panasonic DVD-RAM
Drives
MILPITAS, Calif.--Panasonic and Radialogic, a subsidiary
of Prosoft Engineering, Inc., announced today that Radialogic Storage
Master, a drive management utility for Macintosh systems, supports
the Panasonic 4.7GB DVD-RAM drive. Available in retail and OEM versions,
Radialogic Storage Master is a tool that helps Mac users optimize
Panasonic's rewritable DVD drive. Radialogic's drive management
utility and driver package supports all PowerPC-equipped Macintosh
computers using OS 8.1 and higher. The Mac OS X version will be
released by next year. more

SmartDisk's VST Flash Media Reader Reads SmartMedia,
CompactFlash from a Single Unit
PARIS--SmartDisk Corporation today introduced its new Universal
Serial Bus (USB)-based VST Flash Media Reader, a dual-slot desktop
flash memory reader for both CompactFlash and SmartMedia cards.
With the new reader, consumers who own digital cameras, MP3 players,
voice recorders, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and other digital
appliances that use different flash memory cards can use just one
reader to transfer their digital files to personal computers or
the Internet. SmartDisk is demonstrating the VST Flash Media Reader
