In addition to the PIP the 240T offers a Picture-By-Picture (PBP) function
that splits the display screen into two equal viewing areas for convenient

Samsung's new SyncMaster 240T is designed for any application where
high resolution and dual displays are necessary, such as CAD/CAM fine-detailed
drawings, Desktop publishing and Photoshop extensive graphics and layering.
While applications such as these usually require two displays -- one
for the application tools/pallets and one for the main image/drawing
-- the SyncMaster 240T eliminates the need and inconvenience of using
two displays by accommodating application tools as well as the main
drawing/graphic on one screen.
The SyncMaster 240T has an extra wide 170 degree viewing angle that
is achieved as a result of the Samsung's unique Liquid Crystal Technology,
Multiple Domain Patterned Vertical Alignment (PVA). PVA Technology provides
a better contrast ratio (450:1), improved brightness with less power
consumption and offers an ultra-fast response time for better presentation
of rapid motion video. The SyncMaster 240T also features a digital zoom
that allows viewers to magnify any part of the on-screen image up to
64X.
For greater control over the on-screen image, the SyncMaster 240T features
an easy-access one button auto calibration system for quick proportioning
of screen geometry, contrast, brightness and clock-phase. The On Screen
Display system features a comprehensive menu of controls, including
auto adjustment, color and image size. All the controls also can be
performed conveniently by Remote control provided with the unit.
The SyncMaster 240T offers an optional UBS hub with 2 upstream ports
and 4 downstream ports. USB simplifies hook up to desktop peripherals
-- such as a keyboard, mouse, joystick, printer or scanner -- and offers
improved PC-to-peripheral performance.
For easy installation and optimum configuration, Samsung's 240T has
built-in Plug and Play capability that conforms to the Video Electronics
Standards Association's (VESA) Display Data Channel (DDC) Type 1/2B
standards. Plug and Play automatically configures the monitor with the
host computer and selects the optimum resolution and refresh rates to
achieve crisp detail, bright colors and razor sharp images.
Samsung's 240T meets the stringent TCO '95 standards for low emissions
and incorporates a power management system that complies with VESA,
DPMS, NUTEK and the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star Standards
for energy efficient reduced power consumption.
Samsung backs all of its monitors with a three-year LCD, parts and labor
warranty as well as toll-free technical support 24 hours a day, 365
